Privacy & disclaimer

We don't collect your answers.

Last updated July 2026.

What we collect

Nothing you type into the questionnaire. The Calmspan stress test runs entirely in your browser: your answers, your age, and any HRV value you enter are held in memory on your device and used to compute the result you see. They are never transmitted to us, because there is no server on our side that receives them.

If you use the Copy link button, your responses are encoded into the URL fragment so that opening the link reproduces your result. That link is generated locally and shared only by you. Anyone you send it to can see your answers, so treat it as private.

Advertising

This site is supported by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Ad personalisation can be turned off in Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party cookie use for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Ad slots on this site are labelled as advertisements. Nothing in your result changes based on advertising.

Analytics

We use no analytics that identify individuals. Any aggregate traffic reporting available to us through hosting or advertising partners contains no questionnaire responses, because those never leave your browser.

Third-party resources

The page loads a small number of open-source libraries from public CDNs and the Google AdSense script. Those providers may log standard request information such as IP address and user agent, as any web request does. We do not send them anything about your answers.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Medical disclaimer

Calmspan is an educational tool, not a medical device. The Perceived Stress Scale is a research instrument that measures the perception of stress. It is not a diagnostic test, not a screening tool for any condition, and not a substitute for professional assessment.

The resilience age shown alongside your score is our own simplified translation of the questionnaire result. It is not a validated biological measurement, has not been clinically evaluated, and should not be used to make decisions about your health.

If stress is affecting your sleep, work, or relationships, or if you are experiencing distress, speak to a doctor or a qualified mental-health professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions can go to our contact page.
